Over the past three years badminton has received a boost at the Romsey School as curriculum work has been enhanced considerably by the efforts of professional badminton coach and former international player Chris Shepperd.

Every week, during the school year, 80 pupils benefit from his experience and expertise in competitive badminton after school.

Development has been considerable, exemplified most recently by the inclusion of six pupils in the Hampshire U13 and U14 squads.

They are: U13s, Tom Williams, Lewis Ayles and Christopher Stockwell, and U14s, Philip Tudball, David Tuttlebee and Euan Woodcock.
